On November 8th 2002 Buttercup was mated to Champion Cassencarrie Chimaera, pet named Ira, and after a very difficult pregnancy she went into labour.  Things did not go well and finally a little girl arrived stillborn. At 19.15 the vet decided to try to rescue the last puppy and at 19.30 our Gershwin was born by caesarean.
